RoboFace Legal Agreements

This page contains the official Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, and Data Retention Policy for the RoboFace mobile application, operated by Aabaca.

1. Privacy Policy

1.1 Introduction

At RoboFace, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines what information we collect, how it is used, and the measures we take to safeguard your data in compliance with Google Play Store Developer Policies, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

1.2 Audio & Voice Data Processing

RoboFace features real-time conversational AI voice interactions. To enable this, the app requires microphone permission.

• Transmission Only: Your audio is captured and streamed in real-time via Secure WebSockets (TLS-encrypted) to our WebSocket server, which forwards it directly to Google Gemini API for processing.
• No Storage: Audio data is strictly ephemeral. It is processed in-memory and immediately discarded after the stream completes. We do not save, record, share, or store your voice audio files on your device or our servers.

1.2.1 Android System Permissions Used

To provide its core functionality, RoboFace requests the following permissions on your device:

• android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO: Required to capture voice inputs via your microphone for real-time speech processing and conversation with the AI.
• android.permission.INTERNET: Required to establish a secure connection with our WebSocket server, query Google Gemini APIs, and fetch Google AdMob advertisements.
• android.permission.MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS: Required to optimize voice output playback volume and audio routing (e.g. speakerphone/headphones) for character voice output.

1.3 Locally Stored User Settings

The app stores certain configuration files directly on your device's local storage (LocalStorage / Secure App Storage):

• Your custom character profiles (name, selected voice, behavioral characteristics).
• App state settings (e.g., remembered character preferences).

This data remains entirely local to your device and is never sent to our servers.

1.4 Google AdMob & Third-Party Advertising

RoboFace displays third-party advertisements using the Google AdMob SDK. AdMob automatically collects certain device and diagnostics data to serve personalized and non-personalized ads, perform analytics, and detect fraudulent activity.

Data collected by Google AdMob includes:

• Advertising Identifiers: Google Advertising ID (AAID) or IDFA.
• Device Details: Device brand, model, operating system version, and system language.
• IP Address: Used for general location estimation (e.g., country or city level).
• Usage Logs: Ad impressions, click activity, and app diagnostic logs.

You can manage or opt-out of personalized advertising directly through your Android device settings: Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization.

1.5 Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR Compliance)

RoboFace does not knowingly collect, request, or target personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us immediately so we can remove it from our logs.

1.6 No Account Creation / No Personally Identifiable Information (PII)

RoboFace values your privacy and operates on a zero-account model. The app does not require account registration, social media logins, email addresses, phone numbers, or passwords. We do not maintain any user database containing your identity.

1.7 No Sale of Personal Data (CCPA Compliance)

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information. Your voice audio is processed ephemerally, and your custom character configurations are kept strictly local to your device.

1.8 GDPR & CCPA Rights

Depending on your location, you hold legal rights regarding your data, including:

• Right to Deletion: You can wipe all local storage data immediately by clearing the app data in Android settings or uninstalling the app.
• Right to Access & Portability: Since we do not store personal account info on our servers, all your configurations are locally accessible on your device.

2. Terms & Conditions

2.1 Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the RoboFace application, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you must immediately uninstall and discontinue use of the app.

2.2 Content Accuracy & AI Disclaimer

RoboFace is an Entertainment tool powered by generative artificial intelligence. You acknowledge that:

• The robot personalities, dialogs, and voices are generated dynamically.
• Responses may occasionally be inaccurate, offensive, biased, or incomplete.
• The AI does not represent the views of the developer, Aabaca.
• The app's conversational content must never be relied upon as professional medical, legal, financial, or safety advice.

2.3 Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the app to generate or transmit content that is illegal, abusive, defamatory, harassing, or violating third-party intellectual property. You must not attempt to bypass safety filters or jailbreak the robot models.

2.4 AdMob Fraud Prevention

You must not perform fraudulent clicks, use automated bots, or artificially inflate ad views within RoboFace. Doing so will result in immediate termination of access.

2.5 Indemnification & Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer, Aabaca, shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the application. The app is provided 'AS-IS' and 'AS-AVAILABLE' without any warranties.

2.6 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflicts of law principles. Any legal dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Pune, India.

3. Data Retention Policy

3.1 Voice & Audio Retention

All captured audio data is strictly ephemeral and is processed in-memory for the duration of the WebSocket transmission. Once Google Gemini finishes returning a response, all audio data segments are permanently deleted from system memory. No audio logs are retained on our servers.

3.2 Local App Data Retention

All user configurations (such as saved custom characters and app settings) are retained locally on your device indefinitely. This data is not backed up on our servers.

3.3 Deletion Instructions

You have full, permanent control to delete your stored information:

• Clear App Data: Open Android Settings > Apps > RoboFace > Storage > Clear Data. This wipes all configurations and resets the app state.
• Uninstalling the App: Uninstalling the application automatically deletes all local storage data associated with the app from the device.
